Pascal Waldvogel, Manager Digitale Transformation at Kardex Remstar

Biography:  Pascal Waldvogel, Manager Digital Transformation at Kardex Remstar, has received a M.Sc. in Management, Technology and Economics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Pascal joined Kardex in 2015 and is responsible for the digitization of service products. Previously, he worked for Georg Fischer Machining Solutions and Bühler AG.

Talk 2 : How A|B testing shapes data-driven business models

Dr. Jürgen Schwärzler, Consultant, D ONE AG

Biography: Dr. Jürgen Schwärzler has worked the last 10 years as a Data Scientist for Google, Netflix and Uber supporting software development teams with Decision Support through performance measurement and A|B testing. He holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from University of Vienna.

Jürgen presents case studies of A|B testing at Amazon, why Google does not rely (exclusively) on live results when evaluating search ranking experiments and how Netflix tries to optimize for a single northstar metric. A|B testing is a simple but effective tool for establishing a causal relationship between product changes and the impact on business metrics.
