Alliance's first Match-Making Event took place on the 12th of September in Bern. We thank Stephan Haller from the Berner Fachhochschule to host us.

It was great that 14 members of the Alliance with 18 representatives took the opportunity to present themselves: seven universities and six companies and one individual member.

At the beginning of the event each participant presented a 3 minutes pitch of their competencies and challenges in their research or business area using posters and/or flipcharts.

Additionally, few project ideas were presented seeking for an appropriate project partner or materializing further collaborations. Some participants promptly announced their interest during the presentations.

This was followed by an interactive discussion in a relaxed environment outside where the participants formed groups. The groups discussed and planned their ideas on flipcharts which not only included the presented questions from the project, but instigated new ideas as well.

We were happy to hear the participants agree that it was a rewarding event and most of them will proceed with concrete next steps with another partners.

Stay tuned for the next Match-Making event in March 2019.
